Today was a very special day for me and my family. While Kenya celebrated Madaraka Day, I celebrated the first day of my homeschooling adventure.
I woke up feeling excited because this was the day we had been waiting for. We prepared our classroom by arranging our desks, chairs, books, and all the materials we would need for learning. Everything looked neat and ready for a great year ahead.
One of the happiest moments of the day was meeting our new teacher, Teacher Annastasia. She made us feel comfortable and excited about learning. I am looking forward to the lessons she will teach us and the knowledge we will gain together.
Our father, Macharia Githinji, welcomed us with an opening speech. He encouraged us to believe in ourselves, work hard, and remain committed to our studies. His words gave me confidence and motivation for the journey ahead.
Afterward, we introduced ourselves and shared our dreams and expectations. It was wonderful to begin our learning journey in such a positive environment.
I am particularly excited because homeschooling will give us more focused attention from our teacher. This will help my sister and me improve our Mathematics and English skills. I believe this learning method will help us become stronger students and achieve our goals.
Today was filled with smiles, hope, and excitement. My sister and I promised to stay disciplined, work hard, and make the most of every opportunity we receive.
As I reflect on this memorable day, I feel grateful for my family, my teacher, and the opportunity to learn in a way that supports our growth and dreams.
Madaraka Day is a celebration of freedom, and for me, it will always be remembered as the day I began a new educational journey.
I am excited about the future and all the wonderful things I will learn.
Happy Madaraka Day and Happy Homeschooling Journey! 🇰🇪📖🌱
